Welcome to CIGS website. Prior to Fall 2002, no formal organization existed to exclusively represent graduate INFO students. The Council of INFO Graduate Students (CIGS), established Fall of 2002, hopes to change this.

› Our Purpose
  • To promote better communication and interaction between graduate students of the Department of Information and Operations Management (INFO), related faculty and employers
  • To represent the interests of INFO Graduate students
  • To promote better understanding between people of different cultures to enrich our lives and encourage diversity
  • To interact with MIS students from other universities and to build relationships with other departments.
› Our Mission

The Council of INFO Graduate Students (CIGS), serving as the graduate student body in the Department of Information and Operations Management at Mays Business School, exists to share and discuss information important to all INFO graduate and professional students and to advocate for their interests in dealing with the University, its constituents, and all other appropriate entities.

  • Members - Any graduate or professional program student seeking an INFO degree.
  • Faculty Members – Any INFO Department faculty member.
  • Officers - The Officers of CIGS shall be the: President(1), Vice President/Event Coordinator(1), Treasurer (1), Secretary(1), Public Relations Officer(1), Chief Information Officer(1), External Affairs Officer (1)
